Finely stylized door handles add real cachet to the kitchen. Anti-formal travertine in the style of Jules Brisson, coloured foam with a chewing-gum look as on ErtlundZull kitchens, wood strips in acidic shades in the style of YSG... All styles are permitted to turn a functional element into an emotional detail!
Still uncommon in the kitchen, mirrors are making their way into this everyday space to push up walls and create an enlarging, elongating illusion when judiciously placed, particularly on cupboard doors. As well as being reflective, it adds a touch of sophistication. Demonstrated with projects by Julie Palasse, Heros Architecture and studio Fleur Delesalle.
Transform the worktop into a dining table, transport utensils to another room and play with the many possibilities of mobility: when nomadic and modular, kitchen furniture adapts to all configurations and offers great flexibility to make everyday life easier.
Far less reflective and flashy than mirror, stainless steel nonetheless brings a dose of light with a touch of uniqueness. In addition to all its functional qualities (durability, resistance, ease of maintenance, hygiene...), stainless steel adds a beautifully industrial metallic note. Special mention to its use in the Pauline Borgia project.
Who said the central island was only for very large spaces? Available as a pedestal with storage or as a high table, it provides additional space for cooking. The clever variation: the island on wheels, which can be moved as required. The proof is just below.

What are the ingredients for a perfectly thought-out small kitchen? A little creativity, a touch of uniqueness, and above all, a lot of ingenuity per square metre.
You don’t have to be a true cordon bleu to want a kitchen that’s as beautiful as it is functional, if not spacious. Whether it’s cramped, unoptimized or poorly laid out, there are plenty of ways to personalize it. Here are a few clever ideas to adopt: identify the different spaces with color for the kitchen: opt for reflective surfaces to magnify and illuminate; distinguish with off-set handles; opt for nomadic elements that encourage mobility…
3, 2, 1: in the kitchen!

Segmenting with monochrome
Projet de Jäll & Tofta
The color spreads in all-over from floor to ceiling, from cupboards to worktops, including the kitchen bench, to awaken the space while separating it from others. Fuchsia pink for a soft, gourmet room, lemon yellow for a pep boost or blue for softness and stability... Demonstration in three colors.
DémarquerStand out with the white arch avec l'arche blanche

Whether used as a functional cupboard or as a visual delimiter, the arch invites itself into the kitchen to bring a touch of poetry, softness and roundness, and it's not the Batiik studio that will say otherwise.
